After September 11th, Gerard Way had told his brother, Mikey Way, that he wanted to start a band. In the next year, the band My Chemical Romance released the first studio album, "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love."
Over the years, My Chemical Romance became a hit rock band with a large fanbase. There have been many albums, singles, collaborations, and features.
There have been many other songs, like a series of singles many call "Conventional Weapons," or "ConWep." These songs were concepts for their final full album, Danger Days.
On May 12, 2022, My Chemical Romance released a single titled "The Foundations of Decay." The band had went on tour that year, and preformed this song numerous times.

My Chemical Romance has been around since 2001, with a 6 year hiatus until October of 2019. There have been a consistency with a large majority of the members, only drummers being replaced in and out.

Solo Career
However, after My Chemical Romance went on a hiatus, Gerard Way started his solo music career. He had released many singles, as well as an album titled "Hesitant Alien."
This album, although not as popular as My Chemical Romance, had still been a hit with loyal fans.
